THE ROLE

You will be joining a team that specialises in all aspects of corporate and regulatory crime, representing a range of clients, including government agencies, individuals and businesses in defending alleged offences. Areas of expertise include:

health and safety;

environmental regulation;

road traffic;

food and drugs law;

trading standards;

transport and logistics;

fraud and monetary crime;

ABOUT YOU

You will be a Solicitor or Barrister with ideally 1/2 years experience of criminal work (in particular regulatory) and/or commercial litigation gained within a well regarded city, regional or national firm.

You will have demonstrated the ability to conduct persuasive advocacy and in the case of a solicitor, have an interest in obtaining higher rights of audience.

You will be given a caseload of regulatory crime to handle and must be able to work as part of a dynamic team as well as autonomously.

You will be expected to conduct advocacy in the Magistrates' Court and if appropriate the Crown Court, as well as at Inquiries before the Traffic Commissioner.

You would also be expected to play an active role in marketing and practice development as well as providing a high level of service to existing clients.

You will be expected to play an active role in marketing and practice development as well as providing a high level of service to existing clients.
